Applications are being accepted for two postdoctoral positions in marine microbial ecology and/or microbial metabolomics at the University of Georgia as part of the NSF STC Center for Chemical Currencies of a Microbial Planet (http://ccomp-stc.org). Research projects in the Moran and Edison labs will explore aspects of microbially-mediated carbon cycling in the surface ocean, addressing metabolite links between microbes that affect ocean carbon flux and fate. A Ph.D. in marine microbiology/microbial ecology or marine chemistry/natural product chemistry is required. The positions are available for one year with renewal for an additional 2 years possible. Application review will begin on October 15, 2021 and continue until suitable candidates are found. Interested candidates should send a C.V., names of three references, and preferred start date to Mary Ann Moran (mmoran@uga.edu). Further information on current projects in the Moran (microbial ecology) and Edison (metabolomics) research groups is available at: https://moranresearch.org and https://edisonomics.org.
